Whose property is the park across the street? Is the DPW responsible? If not, I wonder if the alderwoman would be interested in organizing a cleanup.

I believe the park is privately owned, though I don't know by whom. It has been filled with trash FOR YEARS so whoever it is apprently doesn't care, and probably wouldn't mind if neighbors cleaned it up.

I was just noticing the garbage in the apartment complex parking area about 2 weeks ago, its disgusting and speaks volumes about the people who live like that. At least in the winter the fire dept. occasionally shovels the sidewalk up the hill when the landlord ignores it as usual.

It seems there is lots of garbage left out in various places, old TVs, rubbish being thrown into parks, into people's gardens. Anyone want to organise a neighbourhood clean up day this summer?

I am helping to organize a neighborhood cleanup in another location (Middletown bridge and Front Street and Clinton Ave). There is only so much we neighbors can do. Would be great if city could contact the owner of the E Grand Ave property and get them to clean it up

This issue has not been resolved. My impression is that it will not be resolved because as far as I can tell neither the property owner nor the city feels responsible. I am closing the issue only because I'm tired of getting email reminders that it is still unresolved.
