Description

Iside on the corner of Chapel Street & Ellsworth Avenue. My front entrance is on Chapel Street, my back entrance and driveway is on Ellsworth Avenue. The four corners/curb markers of Chapel Street & Ellsworth Avenue need to be repainted yellow, People park in the Chapel Street/Ellsworth Avenue bus stop constantly. People park up to the corners and leave no room for drivers to turn safely. People park right up to my driveway entrance and ignore the yellow markings. The curbside markers (yellow paint) needs to be repainted. Also, the street sign near my driveway on Ellsworth Avenue is leaning to one side, caused by the snow plowing. It needs to be repaired.

The issue has not been resolved. The yellow curbsides still need painting. There are still vehicles parked in the bus stop making it difficult for us to board the bus. Why haven't tickets been issued? Why haven't the curbs been repainted? Downtown parking rules are enforced until 9:00 PM. Why not the rest of the City? There are parking violations all over New Haven, not only in the downtown area. Enforce the laws & regulations.

I agree that our neighborhood is under-served by Traffic Patrols, with numerous violations that go by without penalty. People casually and routinely park on sidewalks, the Edgewood esplanade, in bus stops. Since a sense of civic responsibility is so low, perhaps a few tickets and fines will make people aware of this unneighborly behavior.

I agree! The City seems to enforce parking regulations in the Downtown area. The rest of us suffer. Tag & tow these cars parked in bus stops, parked facing the wrong direction on the street, parked on front lawns. My tax dollars shouldn't be applied exclusively to Downtown. Spread the tickets across the City!

There are still vehicles parking in the bys stop & beyond the "No Parking" signs at the corners. This makes it difficult to turn onto adjacent streets.

The problem has not been resolved. Cars still parked in the bus stop, cars still parked beyond the yellow curb markers making it difficult for trafgic to turn onto adjoining streets. The violators are never ticketed or towed.

When will the City do something? There are still vehicles parked in the Bus Stop, still vehicles parked in the "No Standing Zones." Why are parking violations only enforced in the Downtown area? The rest of the City should be patroled for parking violations also. Why are our neighborhoods neglected? The small things could improve the "quality of life" in this City and raise money for the City also...

The issue is ongoing and has not been resolved. There is still illegal parking on all 4 corners of Chapel Street & Ellsworth Avenue. Please paint the curb markers and have the Parking Authority begin to issue tickets.

The curb markers on all 4 corners of Chapel & Ellsworth need to be re-painted. Vehicles are constantly parked in the bus stop and beyond the legal parking area making it difficult to turn. Drivers are forced to make wide turns into oncoming traffic to avoid illegally parked cars.

There are vehicles still parked in the bus stop. Still vehicles parked beyond the "No Parking Beyond This Point" signs. We need more traffic patrols here. Vehicles parked facing the wrong way on the street and on front lawns. Why doesn't the City enforce the Ordinances?

Vehicles are still parking in the bus stop. Vehicles are still parking so close to the corners, beyond the "No Parking Beyond This Point" signs. This makes it difficult for other vehicles to turn from Chapel Street onto Ellsworth Avenue. The difficulty has increased with all the snow.

Vehicles are not only parking in the bus stops & beyond the "No Parking" signs, they are also parking on the sidewalk in front of apartment buildings! Please enforce the regulations. People are parking their vehicles anywhere they please on the 4 corners of Chapel Street and Ellsworth Avenue!
