Thankyou for the leads, but can you give us more information George Wilson? Who specifically was shooting off the fireworks, what time did you call the FD/PD whom did you speak with?

Also, please do not vaguely implicate the family and friends of PD/FD. Theres alot of those guys who bust their @#$% to make your town better, and safer. Please let us know their names so we can look into this a little further, or at least build up a pattern of ineptitude for certain members of those forces.

Otherwise, these are just unfounded blanket statements that can be seen as trolling in the beginning by the OP.

This is a lot of blabbing for a non issue. So they are illegal, who cares. So is talking on your cell phone while driving, passing on the right, speeding, etc. Yet people in this area have no problem doing that and then getting on this board to complain about someone else breaking a law no worse than the ones they themselves break every day.

Fireworks are not as dangerous as you all make them out to be and are legal in many states. I don't think that the people in PA or NH are any smarter than those in NY. Except that they pay less taxes.

I care if a toddler standing by with his parent gets killed. I care if my family member with some other medical problem goes to the emergency room and has to wait while some idiot who has blown off his hand gets treated. I care when I find firework debris on my roof and on my lawn, particularly when it's very dry.

Further, a bottle rocket on a child's arm leaves a smaller hole than a mortar firework like that allegedly being used. The mortar firework could definitely severe the arm.

You know what you're right about everything. Except for one thing, I do have kids and I don't keep fireworks in my house ever because I am a responsible adult. Plus I really have no use for fireworks anyway, unless you like watching your money explode in mid air.

But since you are right, let's start a petition. I think that the city should post a police car on your street to catch these people. Heck, it's not like kids are overdosing and getting shot in other parts of the city. Your roof and some toddler that is supposedly (based on your assumption) standing near by is more important than anything else going on in this community. After you're done with the car I have a list of places that I am tired of almost getting killed in this community by idiot drivers. I want them to sit there until they catch everyone.

Then as long as no other self important person on this board has anything more important for the PD to do, maybe just maybe we can have the police actually try to stop some real crimes that are really killing our kids. After all since you are so into the facts, I am pretty sure I can find more deaths and serious injuries in this community from drugs and violence than you can from fireworks.

the original poster is bringing to light something a bit dirtier than a lack of policing though. When someone selectively turns a blind eye towards a friend and let them do something illegal, it leads to much bigger problems.
