LCI has spoken to the homeowner. The house is being prepped for a paint job within the next several weeks.

The siding is rotted-how do you prep rotten wood for paint? Come on, how about a more thorough look at the condition in the field.

I am the owner, replaced clapboards, headers etc... I lived on Hall st for 18yrs. I spent the past 2 yrs in Afghanistan and Iraq, also reported to Ft Hood Texas, the past 6 months. Yes I am divorced, yes she left while I was in Afghanisan. Not a single neighbor contacted me directly...so when you fly your flags on the 4th and put your Support Troops signs out, I hope you think long and hard. Never have I been so mistreated as by my own neighbors..I was also called out for the past Hurricane and Snow Storm. If you are not a remodeling expert, kindly keep your misguided opions to yourself. Be rest assured that a plan was in the works for a while, hard to paint and prep with 4 ft of snow!!
Attached find updated pictures from 1 April to current! The so called falling down garage will be re-worked as well. Thank you kind neighbors for your insensitivity... BTW- there is no divorce lien!

I ordered 300 plus feet on clapboards from East Haven Builders..if you want to see receipts come on over... unbelievable, you still live in New Haven, get off your high horse about being in Morris Cove, go to James St etc and complain, the houses are worse and no one cares, so if you are so concerned go write them up as well and have LCI go out.

Funny how you forgot to mention a brand new roof, the intel service trusted my son to fly missions in Iraq and Afghanistan soo i would think he has enough common sense not to put a new roof on a house that is falling down.every second for 2 years his life was in danger so people like you could be safe.I'm not an expert like you but as far as i know you cannot paint when it rain, snow , below or above a certain temperature .By the way i live 2 street over with my oldest daughter and my youngest daughter lives by the airport so we are residents of Morris Cove.

The new siding looks great. Good luck renting the house. What your employment is is not relevant. Everyone has a place in society, and their work is equally respected. A teacher aide in the classroom is just as important as a doctor, who is just as important as you. What is relevant is how you do, or do not, take care of your house.

First off -- welcome home Phil! And good job on the renovation, it looks pretty! Allow me to apologize on behalf of other seeclickfixers. This isn't typical.

@Marie Occupation really does make a huge difference in this case -- because of his job, HE WASNT THERE. Someone was supposed to take care of the property and SHE LEFT. He spent 2 years in Afghanistan and six months in Texas.
Now that he's home, he's doing the updates that his ex-wife didn't do while he was working overseas.

I live on the street, a few houses away from Lombardi. I met his next door neighbor in the late fall, who is a nice guy, he really did a nice update on his house. He said Lombardi was in the military, overseas. His neighbor said that Lombardi had a number of people in the past summer working on the house, each one either did not do what was promised, or when the extent of the work was exposed, would not finish it. He said Lombardi was concerned about the appearance. But Lombardi needed to get some finances in order and would start again as soon as spring came. Well, he did exactly what he told some people last year. Leave the guy alone. That primed wood siding he is using is very expensive- I used the same for repairs to my garage. Already the house looks great and only the front is done.
