Not only do people proceed at 40-45 MPH but they continue to drive that speed for miles - all the way into Greenfield Center where the speed is reduced to 40 MPH. DOT needs to install mph signage - from the 55 MPH sign at Creek road there are no MPH signs until you enter GF - a total of 4 miles.

A. Its uphill for the next mile.
B. Many turn onto Middle Grove Rd. or Daniels Rd. and it doesn't make sense to speed up.
C. 55 is the maximum, not minimum.

All I request is another 55 MPH sign between greenfield center and creek road so people know it's 55. Anyone who drives that route on a regular basis knows one person not doing the speed limit can cause quite a back up. My commute to work should take 10 minutes, not 20 cause people are driving 40 MPH. I understand people turn but that is not usually the case for my delays, especially heading into town from Middle Grove Road (no turn offs then). Middle Grove is another problem, no 55 MPH sign so people do 45.

Thats because trooper love to hit folks in the 45 zone doing 55. AS well Middle Grove RD and 9N have seen double fatal accidents before. I dont think speed needs to be encouraged. I suggest you wake up 10 min earlier.

Just asking people to do the speed limit, not drive recklessly beyond it. If people can't observe and obey traffic signs then they shouldn't be driving. Also, if this area has a speeding issue then perhaps the speed limit should be lowered.
