Description
There are several significant depressions over what appears to be sewer laterals along Townsend Avenue. These have been present for at least 25 years, probably due to a poor compaction of material over the lines. The result is a depression or "trough" in the pavement perpendicular to the street direction in several locations, very hard on autos and their suspensions.

The City of Oakland did *not* address this issue. There are still many ruts on this street. Please do not close issues which have not been addressed.
I attached a photo of one of the ruts, in the middle of the street.
