Any person with competent driving skills knows 25 mph is not an appropriate speed but this way police can actually write a ticket that has a chance to be a deterrent. The real problem is idiots who walk shoulder to shoulder along the street next to pat kidney field when there are cars parked there. Plenty of safe side streets and parallel streets which will not create problems for passing cars. But i guess asking people to use the park for exercise or walk along roads that arent well traveled.

Walk Smart, I agree that 25 mph seems inappropriate. Most drivers far exceed that speed by traveling at at least 50 on a street that is a straight-away with no stop sign anywhere. Farm Hill Road is a great short cut, but speeding cars can ruin the atmospere of this neighborhood.
