CTTransit is made up of many drivers. Just because one driver makes a bad move doesn't mean you're able to blame the whole company. This SeeClickFix is absolutely useless as you haven't reported any specific information. If you have any of that, you can report it here.
not if it is widespread, company-wide, which it most certainly is.
whether i am driving or bicycling, i am more often then not aggressively cut off by CT transit buses. i've called the company to complain about specific events before but it is pretty exhausting.
This is absolutely wide-spread. CT Transit Drivers as a group are the most dangerous faction on our streets. They constantly speed, to the delight of their supervisors who see that as a form of job loyalty. Also, I have been right-hooked more than a few times by CT Transit buses, which is illegal and more importantly, it's careless and arrogant. We definitely need a concerted effort to check these fools.
I think CT Transit would be willing to work with Elm City Cycling to train their drivers on how to interact with bicycle riders. This would be a good project for the education committee.
As for cutting off, bus drivers are normally trained to stay in the right-hand lane (unless they are turning left). Is there a particular street where this is happening? I can say for sure that every CT Transit bus I have seen on Elm Street has stuck to the right-hand lane (and therefore could not possibly cut off anyone).
