Today I went for a ride around Bangor just to look at the sidewalks. I noticed that in the affluent sections, the sidewalks are nice and clean right after the storm. Yet, in the more blue-collar sections, nothing. Even though we all pay taxes, it's different strokes for different folks. As for plowing near schools, the city is more interested in finances than safety......even for kids.

This issue was ignored all winter just like BPW does with all issues presented here.

Nothing was done all winter. I've noticed that there are 2 synagogs in this area and people park on Essex and York for the services. They have to walk in the road because BPW refuses to plow the sidewalks. It is too bad that the city chooses to ignore this issue until someone falls and gets hurt and then, maybe, they will take a look at it.

Seems that BPW has decided to ignore See, Click, Fix. Many of the things I see here are ignored by the city council and BPW. I'm sure we would hear them whining about no money and it cost too much. I have taken more notice of BPW when they are out and about. My tax dollars certainly are not paying for work. I saw a project on State St. with a backhoe and 6 BPW "workers" standing around doing nothing. How many BPW workers does it take to dig a hole. Not enough on hand to do it I guess.

Only took 5 years to get this done.
