This sign is torn down constantly. It's very disrespectful to the neighborhood. Obviously the perp thinks that this is acceptable behavior b/c he/she did not even try to hide it.
So please will someone call the police and have them visit the occupants and ask about the sign...we need as a community to send a message that stealing city property is NOT OK.
And, who resides at this apartment? UVM students? If so, the university needs to follow up and demonstrate they have higher expectations for their students living in our community.
The burlington police and the property manager were notified earlier this morning. The police report for this incident is #13BU003269.
We do not know the results of the investigation at this time, but ask that residents trust that Code Enforcement reported the incident and will see it through to a reasonable conclusion.
Any follow-up from police yet? Would be great to prevent this kind of vandalism in the future and in order to do this, there has to be consequences for those responsible.
The police department does not use SeeClickFix. You can request updates on their investigation directly from the Burlington Police by referencing Incident #13BU003269 when you call them.
