Description
I understand these are difficult circumstances. We waited patiently, checking in politely with public works who assured us we'd be plowed out by Sunday night. Payloader showed up late morning today and, working with neighbors trying to find best places to put snow, started our street. I was literally getting on my coat to go out and help him figure out best place to put snow as he got closer to my property only to find he had gone, clearing less than half of our short street and leaving the rest of us still unable to leave our driveways. Last time I checked, I pay taxes like everyone else in town.

We have reported this issue to the town public works, police and our local RTM rep.

One of our concerns is that the town maps may not be up to date and may not accurately include all side streets in our neighborhood. Let's all be sure to follow up on this after we recover from this storm.

We suspect that some streets in our neighborhood may not be on the official town maps....let's follow up on this after the storm(s)...in the meantime please post updates here and call 911 if there is an emergency.

Sooooooooo glad to hear this, Paul!
Big shout out of thanks to Pete Black, one of our RTM reps, who really went to bat on this one. He drove up to monitor on a daily basis and hounded town hall to get it done. I do hope there is post-mortem discussion on this whole episode so that we can avoid this type of situation in the future. First step seems to be to update the town maps so that all of the streets in the bay and elsewhere are accurately depicted.
Ben, thank you so much for this site. Am very grateful.
