Description

The road is poorly patched on 9N. The surface was so poorly patched its hard to believe someone would be allowed to walk away from that job! If i build a deck on my house I need a permit, and the inspector has to come and sign off that its safe for my family to walk out on? How many hundreds of thousands of people drive/ride over this incompetent unsafe repair? Do we have anyone who oversees this work to make sure its done properly? I was driving along (doing the speed limit) and hit this uneven surface that jarred my car so badly that I thought I was hit by another car. It instantly "threw" my car three or four feet to the right!
This should be fixed before it causes an accident, and someone gets hurt or killed!
I can assure who ever addresses the condition of our roads, and the concerns of the people who drive on them that it would be far less expensive to fix the road than to have to pay for a lawsuit resulting from an improperly maintained roadway!

I see they tried to patch it again. W.T.F. whoever is trying to fix this STOP!!!! Hire someone else to fix this abortion because after 7 times so far, GIVE UP you are making it worse. Right after you put this new road in about 5 years ago you had to dig it up for some reason and has been F%#ked up ever since.

If you don't know about it, crossing Rte. 9N to Brook Rd. or coming the other way, you can actually hit your head on the roof of your car. Must be the summer people don't travel out that way or it would have been fixed a year ago.

West Side of Saratoga is the forgotten land, example the decline of Beekman St. But, this is probably a state problem as 9N is a state road. I travel this piece of road almost daily, and there used to be a "Dip" sign. It might still be there and I just don't realize anymore. Perhaps we will start to see changes in the corridor to the West(including changes on Grand Ave) when people who no longer want to live with the noise and the crowds move to the "boonies".

I have lived just above this intersection for 5+ years now, and it seems that the spot in question has always been bad. They have attempted to repair it several times to no avail. Had it been done right in the first place I dont think it would continue to be an issue. Being a firefighter in the area I also know of a few accidents that have also happened near here. Someone better get on the ball before we end up with a serious injury accident or a fatality. I see (as I come to the intersection heading north) people swerve to the right of this spot, and one of these times they are going to hit someone waiting at the light on the locust grove side.

Try going across the intersection some time doing more than about 20 MPH - from Brook to Locust Grove or vice versa. It at least needs a sign alerting people to the dip. The middle of 9N is way too high.

I know this is a BAD road that the road crew botched up BAD, over & over & over & over. The only time it was good is when they put the new road in about 5 years ago. Then for some unknown reason they dug it up right after they put it in and has been screwed up ever sense. I think this goes on DEAF EARS or they would have done something about this by now. But when they try they screw it up worse. Why don't they get out the big thing that paves the lane over again at least it would be even.

The heavy truck and Tractor Trailers are ruining the roads and the patch jobs can't handle the trucks. I have been complaining to DOT for the past 8 years about the poor conditions on Rte. 9N from The Greenfield Town Line to West Ave. they just make cheap patches that last 30 days if we are lucky. I think the DOT admins need to take a pay cut and put that money back into the road repair funds, same with ALL government personnel.

CAN'T TAKE CARE OF OUR ROADS? GET OTHER JOBS! (Guest)

I ruined one of the wheels on my car from this intersection! Where do I send the bill? I can't beleive the condition of this road! DO WE STILL LIVE IN THE USA? I feel like I'm in a third world country. Where are the tax payers money going? How come NO one answers this forum? Next time WE VOTE. We NEED to VOTE EVERYONE who is in a position to maintain our roads, and address our concerns OUT OF OFFICE! THEY NEED TO GET A REAL JOB, WHERE YOU HAVE TO DO THE JOB FOR WHICH THEY ARE PAID!

It's been 8 months since I first comments on this! What a shame that it STILL hasn't been addressed! Hard to believe we live in the USA when it's looking more like a third world country. I would expect roads in this condition in the back country passes of Mexico!

When, and IF they fix it they should take the hump down that crosses 9N from Locust Grove Rd. to Brook Rd.! I agree this intersection is unsafe. I've had a couple bad experiences at this intersection too!

Issue still isn't fixed! I posted this over a year ago! Its just horrible to think that in one of the highest income per capita counties, in one the highest taxed states in America we could have roads like this in such deplorable condition that it's a serious safety issue that no one seems to want to address it! Our elected officials are not paying attention! Hopefully enough people read this and make them pay attention on Election Day, and make them clean out their desks!
