The City is aware of this problem and even knows who the responsible party is that broke the pole off but replacement reimbursement from the contractor who broke the pole hasn't come yet.
The City knows this is an issue. Call the City Lighting Specialist to request it be fixed at 946-6091. BTW - that number is the number to call and report ANY street light that is out in the City.
My previous comment is only half correct - in this case the party charged with fixing the problem is the Livable City Initiative, not street lighting. Town Green has called LCI to follow up and see if we can get this problem fixed asap.

Bonus points for using the phrase "death hazard."

Is there a better term? Risk of impalement?

Thank you. Is there anything we can do to ensure the reimbursement will come more quickly?
Also, isn't it the city's responsibility, as the pole owners, to ensure that it isn't hazardous?
This has been here for a while and should be repaired (or temporarily covered) as soon as possible before someone falls on it and dies.
