Description
It would be nice if they would install a traffic light at the intersection of Line Lexington and Cowpath Roads. When you are trying to make a left to go East on Cowpath, there is always such a line of traffic, it's hard to get out. And dangerous. I have seen may near accidents. A light would solve the problem.

There are three "arteries" for traffic to use to get to work and back home : 309, Cowpath and Allentown Rd.. Putting more lights on these roads just for rush hour traffic would make this area a parking lot at rush hour! When you take your shortcut, you are going to sit at these roads stop signs. If you don't like it, STOP DOING IT!!!!!!!!! Find another way! It truly is YOUR decision!

I am not using this as a "shortcut". I live off of Line Lexington Road and this is the only way for me to get onto Cowpath Road to go to work. If people were considerate traveling on Cowpath and would let cars trying to make a left onto Cowpath out, that would solve the problem. But, people are in too much of a hurry, talking on the cell phones, to even pay attention that there is a line of cars trying to make a left turn. Even when they come to a standstill for the red light at Moyer Road, they close the gap, because they want to be one car closer to the traffice light. If each car would let only one car out, it would make a difference. People should stop being so self-centered! That's why we need a traffic light there, to allow cars to make the left turn.

Any other time other than morning or evening rush, there is no problem. I know I travel this way all the time and so do my drivers. It's self centered to have traffic back up during rush to let one car out. Find another way, its you decision to go that way.

I agree people are in a hurry today. But thats no reason to a traffic light there just for rush hour. I can' nt belive no one will let when traffic backs up at moyer rd. Leave early

Totally disagree with this one. Most of the time throughout the day there wouldn't even be a person needing to turn, so people proceeding east/west on Cowpath would be sitting at a red light for nothing.
Make a right.
Make your first left.
Turn around.
Make a right again.
And look, you're magically proceeding in the direction you intended.
This technique could save you 10 minutes because you only have to cross one lane at any time then.

The problem isn't "hurry" it is more housing + jobs + people = cars and need for roadway. There is a lack of parking for the trains, 309 backs up in this area into last week, and people want to go home. This road-463 tends to be a relief/ bypass road for 309, and when something happens there, traffic becomes even worse. Traffic flow and the uneven intersection with Moyer road needs work. Too many people get into accidents there. It is also heavily used by our bus drivers who are asked to turn LEFT at least half of the time.
