This rental home is owned by "Better Homes Investment Group LLC", which is nothing more than a business name for Dean Hunker (aka Landlord Leasing). Per the Lorain County Auditors website (which is public record), Dean Hunker/Landlord Leasing with an address of 838 Reid Avenue, Lorain, is the responsible party for the real estate taxes. This rental home has many broken windows, missing or broken storm doors, weeds are growing wild, a junk car in the driveway...the entire property is a mess & falling apart. This is not a vacant property either, it is supposed to be inhabited by a woman & her 4 kids. They were living there full time but as of recent the neighbors have stated that they seem to be only part-time residents. The City of Lorain definitely needs to go after the landlord or whomever is responsible for the maintenance of this property. It is so sad to drive down the street & see this house. If the City of Lorain wants it's citizens to take some pride in their city, then the City of Lorain needs to go after the slum landlords & bad homeowners to eliminate these types of rundown properties. It is so unfortunate that the good citizens of Lorain who keep their properties in good condition & order, have to endure such filth & decay from others in their neighborhoods who have absolutely no pride in anything let alone the home they inhabit or the city they live in.
