Description
As the summer season draws near, my neighbors and I will be bombarded with fumes from the barbecuing in the narrowest area of the park. In the height of last summer, my apartment was filled with smoke. I urge the parks dept to move the barbecuing to an area of the park that is wider and has less of an environmental impact to residents living closest to the park.

Would you kindly provide a more detail explanation to why this issue was closed. I don't understand what was written. "The barbecue area was moved to its present location specifically to accommodate this same resident. "
If this comment was directed to me, I never asked for the barbecue area to be placed in the present location of Morningside Ave between West 114th & West 116th Streets.
I would deeply appreciate your clarification on this matter. Thanks.

Please Reopen this issue. The initial reason for closing was unclear. The problem still continues. I have photos from last week which I will upload this evening.
Thanks,

This issue has not been resolved. The Parks Dept. is not enforcing the barbecuing in non-designated areas. Park users can barbecue in any area of the park including by the pond which has already been compromised by other issues.
The Parks Dept is doing a poor job under the current leadership.
