Description
Laura Ln has been missing a street sign since the development was built. Township blames builder, and the builder blames the township. What does it cost 75.00? Seriously! Its a matter of SAFETY! God forbid I need 911 and they cant find my street!

Good luck with getting one put up, (not being sarcastic, I really do wish you luck because it's probably not going to change any time in the near future)

So lets get your concern straight. You are complaining about a missing street sign and worried that an emergency response team may not be able to locate your road?
Lets evaluate your situation. When you turn onto Laura Ln from Farmington Ave , you immediately run into a problem with vehicles parked all over the road. It seems as if NO ONE parks in their own driveway. Not only does this hamper the abilities to get through, you park side by side on both sides of the street , making it IMPOSSIBLE for 2 way traffic to pass. A standard SUV has to make sure it isn't scraping mirrors, Do you think an Emergency Vehicle is going to fit ?
The next observation is how well your home addresses are marked. The numbers are 4'' gold script style numbers mounted on the house or on the door. They are next to near impossible to read in broad day light. How many of you keep your porch light on all night, keeping your address lit up?
You are so worried about an emergency service NOT finding the street , but fail in being responsible enough to make sure YOUR OWN HOUSE is visible and clearly marked.

Actually, my house numbers are on both the curb and front of my house and backlit. I have called the pd about double parking and to which I was advised there is nothing they can do, its private property and the roads are not dedicated. I have complained to the association, and they have done nothing, I have complained to the Township and again nothing. So before you assume nothing was done, you should ask.
Maybe it will take a good fire, where limited access causes delays to wake people up

Good luck with the TWP. If it is considered private property as someone stated above and the roads not dedicated , then it falls on the association / builder. Maybe if everyone stopped paying their HOA , then just maybe the HOA would do something about it . I bet they would be the first to raise holy hell if you hung out your laundry to dry or left your Xmas decorations out too long.....
I do not doubt there are a FEW lights left on at night , but I would be willing to bet 90% are shut off , leaving no visibility for addresses. Curb lettering honestly is not easily visible when driving perpendicular to the letters. In the situation of a fire , the flames and smoke would be a give away , but in a medical emergency or even when police are needed, response times would be delayed.
Everyone could pool a couple of bucks , and get one made up and plant it , IF it is that much of an inconvenience or concern...

HAHAHAHAHAH, you are telling someone to grow up while you WHINE about a steet sign that is NOT the townships responsibility ? It is NOT a dedicated township road , my local tax funding does NOT pay for the maintenance of of said road and you want the township to pay for a sign and manhours to install it ?
It is the responsibility of the DEVELOPER and or your HOA to do so......
