Description
This rotary exists in a highly populated area. People walk their children to the abutting playground through this rotary, people jog through, and pedestrians of all kinds must traverse this dangerous rotary without the aid or protection of crosswalks. How has this gone unnoticed and uncorrected for so long?

If there is No Cross Walk There Now that Means the Way the Rotary was Designed it was too Dangerous for a Pedestrian Crossing.

Unfortunately, pedestrians need to navigate this rotary, whether the planners deemed it 'too Dangerous for a Pedestrian Crossing' or not. People cross the rotary to access the shops just on the south west side, like Giles liquors and the convenience store, and parents with children cross to access the nearby playground. It is no longer a matter of planning - this rotary needs a crosswalk for the safety of all those who DO NOW and WILL CONTINUE TO traverse it.

I watched a gentleman with a stroller navigate this rotary today, while I jogged by on the opposite side, myself also endangered by the lack of crosswalks on this rotary. To deny safety precautions to the residents is very dangerous, neglectful, and short sighted.

Still no movement on this issue.

I totally agree! I was almost hit by a car here crossing at night, even though I waited for a gap in traffic, *and* I was carrying a flashlight. When I was halfway across the wide expanse of pavement, a fast-moving car came from the other side of the rotary, and didn't see me until it was almost too late to stop.
The DCR needs to install better street lighting, paint some crosswalks, and preferably re-align the roadways to slow down traffic. The best solution would be crosswalks with traffic lights activated by pushbuttons.

Still no movement on this issue, and danger will increase with the warm weather, when parents once again try to navigate this area with small children.
