Description
There are three lanes on 21st heading South. The left lane becomes left turn only. Immediately after going through a pedestrian crosswalk, the right two lanes merge into one -- there is no sign indicating this will happen, and there are no clues indicating who has the right of way. A simple "Merge left" sign or something would really help.

At West End Ave, 21st has 3 SWB lanes. South of the next intersection (Terrace Pl.),the middle and right lane become one, and left lane continues straight to Broadway. Right lane continues right to go south. Existing configuration has been in existence for decades, and has operated efficiently. Due to the unique lane usage, any additional advisory signs would likely confuse motorists. Also, there are several pedestrian signs/flashers along this portion of 21st, with hardly any place to install an additional sign, to be visible to oncoming traffic. Additional signage is not recommended for this location.

"It's always been like that" is a lame excuse.
