Description
The stop light at Granite Avenue for the Neponset Trail pedestrian crossing is very delayed. After a pedestrian requests the crossing sign by pressing the button, it often takes 2-3 minutes until the light changes. The long wait prompts pedestrians and cyclists to dash across the street, risking being hit by speeding oncoming traffic. Then, when the light finally does change, the cars must wait for no one.
The pedestrian crossing light at the Neponset Trail and Granite Avenue should be more responsive. Traffic should get a red light almost immediately after the crossing request button has been pressed.
