Rosario blvd is shady and lies along Arroyo Mascaras, but there is only 1 curb cut to the arroyo along the entire downhill 1/4 mile stretch from Old Taos Hwy to Griffin and Paseo de Peralta. So there is no where for the snow melt to go and it backs up and creates 3 to 4+ inches of ice on the road. Today I watched the contract snow plow company push all the snow from the condos at 211 Rosario into the street! That will turn to ice and be here until May! Couldnt we have a another curb cut or two into the arroyo? It would be a huge help!
1/07 We didn't get a curb cut, but we did get a grader, a dump truck, and bucket loader and some city workers to reroute traffic, to spend most of the work day, trying to scrape the ice up, haul off the snow pushed into the street from the condos at 211, and put down cinders. So while I don't think this is the best solution, it certainly is a temporary GOOD thing! So Thanks!
