Thank you for your concerns in reference to the hydrants “out of service” on East Osterhout Avenue. It is always the city’s goal to ensure all hydrants are operable at all times. The hydrants were noted as needing repairs during the fall hydrant flushing program. The parts for the hydrants have been on back order but we are expecting them to be here yet this month and anticipate that they can be back in service before the end of December. The water department reported that hydrant #1353 at 710 Osterhout is back in service. The parts for hydrant #1352 are still on back order. Please feel free to call the Transportation & Utilities Department at 329-4422 should you have any further questions.

Repairs were completed for hydrant #1352 on 1/17/17.
