Description
It's not even snowing and residents are trying to reserve spots! With multi-unit homes and multiple handicap spots there is very limited street parking. Is this ok? If it is I will make sure I do this on a daily basis. Please let me know.

The city does not encourage people to save parking spaces by placing items in the street but does understand sometimes the need to do it. Leaving items in the street creates a blight situation not to mention also creates public safety concern. Now with that being said if there is a significant snowfall and someone shovels out a parking spot in front of their own home/apartment, the person that worked to clear the street deserves to be able to park in front of their residence. The city understands that during heavy snowfall some items may be placed in the street to save the shoveled out space. Once the snow has been cleared and parking is back to normal all items should be removed from the street and placed out of sight. Thank you for using Whiting311.
