Description

Signs were only put up last night around 4pm saying no parking. Cars were being towed at 7:45am. Residents in the area need more warning. This is the second project this fall on the road with almost no warning. This resulting in cars being towed this morning while construction was already underway. This resulted in there not being two lanes for traffic in an already tight area where buses have issues. No flaggers were present for some time resulting in rush hour back up down the hill. Cross walk sign is a joke. The nearest cross walk is all the way back down the hill at the bridge about 4/10 of a mile resulting in a 8/10 of a mile walking detour. Plus it is in the middle of the flagged zone. People just dart across the through traffic. Please rethink how these are setup. I would like to see safe lanes with cones first with flaggers and a proper place to cross (say at the flaggers who can stop traffic) before construction starts. Please also provide residents with proper notification.
