Description
Goldsmith Street, between Randolph and East Clinton needs cleaning. The leaves along the curb will cause rain runoff to flow down my driveway, and up against, and under my house. This has been an ongoing problem for a long time.

Thank you for reporting your service request to the City of Huntsville.
We appreciate you notifying us of this issue, but Public Works did away with the leaf pick program years ago, so it is the property owner's responsibility to bag leaves along their property. Sanitation will pick them up if they are bagged. We are closing your request. If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Good morning Mr. Sanders. We understand your concern in this matter. The City of Huntsville cannot maintain loose leaves on easements because that is your property. We only maintain city facilities located on easements, in your case the drainage inlets. If the inlets are not stopped up, there is nothing we can do. It is your responsibility to keep the easement clear of fallen leaves if you so choose. The crew we sent out to look at your inlets found none of them to be stopped up.
