It is certainly a good idea to call it in for a quicker response time and, of course, for emergencies. However, we do monitor this mailbox at intervals throughout the normal workday (less frequently on off-hours), so notification has been made to our field staff to check this situation out. Thank you for reporting it!
You guys probably monitor this city more often then the city does but the fastest way to bring something to your attention is still the good old fashion phone.
SCCRWA thank you!! I work in the Yale building across the street and our maintenance person just told that they are looking into.I'm closing this issue
Just as an FYI, it appears this may be some type of a pump coming from the Nursing School that turns on and off. Water stopped coming up in the road while investigating.
The RWA has been on-site overnight to determine the source of this large, intermittent leak. We are inserting a valve to limit the shut-down of service required for the repair and will begin excavating shortly. Based on our analysis, it is likely a joint leak that will take longer than our normal 4-6 hours to repair. We will continue to keep SCF updated as new information is available.
Regional Water Authority crews continue to repair a 12-inch water main on Church Street between Columbus Avenue and Amistad Street. The repairs have interrupted water service to the Yale School of Nursing (100 Church Street South) and three small residential buildings on Malcolm Court. We expect to have the work completed by 7 p.m., depending on field conditions encountered.
