Hello, I am wondering why on earth you would build two rotaries, which by design are meant to facilitate continuous traffic flow and then place a traffic light right in between them. It seems like you may need to look into a new traffic engineer who understands the basics of traffic flow. This light impedes the purpose of both rotaries and constantly creates backups at each rotary which cause traffic build-up all the way up Route 2. I would think a pedestrian tunnel would work much better in this situation and considering the city's love for digging up the roads of Cambridge so that mirror a lunar landscape, this idea seems like it would fit within the ideals of city maintenance. Also, what the hell is going on with Fern St? The construction done to that road makes no sense whatsoever and it seems like other streets will soon have the same "upgrades"? Please start to utilize a bit more common sense when designing your roadways. It's pretty embarrassing for a city that hosts several elite institutions for higher learning to use such little forethought in the design and implementation of their roadways. Finally I would like to congratulate whoever it was that realized that the intersection of Gerry's Landing Rd and Memorial Dr. was a complete mess once they repainted the lane makers having the three lanes of Gerry's Landing Rd turn into 2 lanes after going through the intersection of Memorial Drive. It only took them a year to realize, but at least you eventually figured it out and corrected the mistake.
