Please fix this net so more people would like to play in this court. Since most people prefer the other 2 courts, some dog owners use this court as a dog park. Please help us!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The nets have been tightened as much as possible without causing damage to the equipment and the string wrapped around the poles will be cut off so the net will lay flat. We encourage anyone observing or suspecting unauthorized use report their concern to the Chula Vista Police Department. Additionally, the city has a Park Ranger Program that will continue to patrol parks while on duty. Please keep in mind that these are public courts are designed for everyday use. They are not designed nor maintained for professional or tournament play.

The net problem started when it was vandalized with fire, so the net was cut off. People with good intentions tried to reinstall the remaining net and overstretch it, bending the metal poles.
In the future, when a net is vandalized like this, we will encourage people to report it to the City, then we hope the City would lock the court until there is money to replace the vandalized net. That way, the metal poles would be still working. We can not control people trying to fix things on their own, their intensions were good and honestly they tried to save money to our CV City.

We talked to our players and they will call the CHPD non emergency number when there is any vandalism. In case another net is vandalized, they will call the police and lock the court (using their own lock) until the police shows up. If the net is not playable we will keep the court locked until the City determines the next step.

We noticed that the net is laying flat, thanks.
We are suggesting players to use "Single Sticks" in case they need a higher net. We strongly suggested the players to stop strecthing the net, and stop using any wrapping material of any kind, because the metal poles will bend even more.
