Description
There is an excavation on Derby Ave near Norton St that has been covered by metal plates for over 4 months. There is a large dip in the road just before the excavation. This causes a traffic hazard. It should not take such a long time to repair the roadway and the underlying problem. Please get the WPCA to complete the work and get things back to normal. Somebody has to take action.

The Greater New Haven WPCA is aware of your concerns and will visit the location to visually inspect the placement of these road plates. We are in the process of rehabilitating the large wastewater system beneath this area. This is an extensive, costly and timely project that we anticipate will be completed prior to January of 2017. We are in contact with the City of New Haven DPW to keep them informed of our ongoing progress.
