Description
Dangerous corners: Daniels Middle School, parents in waiting vehicles on Ashland St curbs, school buses and walking students.
Truly a terrible mix. School administrators of Wake County, Raleigh police dept, Parent-teacher organization of Daniels MS... please, please address this issue BEFORE there's a major tragedy.
Our immediate neighborhood cares...yet it''s up to others to provide the safe solution. /s -- A Wayland Heights neighbor.

Every day we are waiting for a horrible accident, likely one that involves a neighborhood child or a Daniels school child. The hill on Ashland blocks line of sight both directions.
Going into the neighborhood, you end up in a 4 direction intersection, where children have bus stops for multiple schools or are walking to school.
Also children are being dropped off by parents who are cutting through at a very fast rate.
We keep complaining about this but the only true permanent options are sidewalks (I prefer) or closing off one of the streets to provide a dead end, and removing the 4 (actually 5) way intersection
See the attached, all blue are streets/thruways, including 2 condo complexes which all feed traffic into this intersection.

Safe solution needed.. what is being done? What plans are being considered? Timeframe?
SAFETY. SAFETY. We need safety for all...sadly this street is prime location for major accident and tragedy.
Dangerous situation. Parents parking on BOTH sides of Ashland. Oversized vehicles: parents, commercial, school buses++.
Congestion. Unsafe. We are very concerned neighbors. TALK to us, we SEE the problems and KNOW the issues. /s A Wayland Heights neighbor

I would suggest talking to your local CAC (Citizens Advisory Council) and enlisting their support to bring this issue to the attention of the city (Think you're in Wade - http://www.raleighnc.gov/community/content/CommServices/Articles/CAC/WadeCAC.html) or schedule an appearance before city council (https://www.raleighnc.gov/government/content/BoardsCommissions/Articles/CityCouncil.html).
SeeClickFix is only really useful for small maintenance items that can be fixed quickly. This seems to be a larger issue that requires broader work than the people running SeeClickFix can manage.

This on-going issue needs immediate attention. We as neighbors ask to be informed as research and progress of the studies. Our observations need to be included in the the gathered information. With all respect to equipment and/or staff involved we neighbors see and know 24/7 what transpires.
Will you please provide updates--plus be in directly touch with those neighbors posting--with the status? Several of us will be more than willing to meet with appropriate City of Raleigh staff and decision-makers about this significant issue. How can we get contact information to you in a non-public forum? Thank you.

I don't live in the immediate area - I'm over in the Five Points CAC. I would highly suggest getting your issue out to the CAC or City Council ASAP even if it may be a longer process. You seem to be wanting an immediate response to your issue but the people who run SeeClickFix can't really do that with this issue (as you can see with the lack of response for 3 months). You're going to need to present it directly to the people who can help you do something about it (CAC) or can do something about it (RPD, Transportation Department, City Council). If there's someone else in your core group that can help you out with that, that's definitely a preferred alternative. At least send some emails/calls out and see what happens.
Here are a few contacts that might be helpful for you:
