When reporting a street light outage, it helps to include the pole number which can be found on a metal plate on each pole at around eye level.

Swimmy, Thanks for the information. The lights I am referencing are those that are recessed into the concrete of the underside of the freeway (if that makes sense) When you walk underneath the freeway and look up there are light fixtures that are recessed into the concrete, but the light bulbs do not work.

It may be Caltrans job.
