I called this in after reading the post because this is a safety issue and the city does not monitor this site 24/7 especially on the weekends and after work hours. It is best to call something like this to public safety 203 946-6316, then post to alert others and to have a record that it was called in. In the post mention that it was called in.

Being you work for the city you should beware that many city departments are closed today because of Columbus Day and this site it not monitor 24/7. Also if wires are exposed it electrocute someone if they touch them.
Also, I think everyone should be aware that Town Green Special Services District does not work for the city. We are a nonprofit organization that provides supplemental services to the downtown within the boundaries of our district.

Who is Town Green and if someone is getting mugged are you only to use See Click to report it. Any possible safety issue should be reported by phone to public safety 203 946-6316, you can then post. Please respond because I would like to call Town Green
Is there a person I can call? If the policy is only to use See Click someone can get killed, an example would be if there is a live wire down and someone touches it.. I may call the Mayor's Office tomorrow and informed them about this policy.
I would advise anyone getting mugged to call New Haven Police Department or dial 911, not Town Green District or the City. As to who we are, you can visit www.downtownnewhaven.com for an overview of who we are and what we do. When it comes to streetscape and sidewalk maintenance issues, we have no more control over it than the public, we can only request from the city departments that they fix it as soon as possible. It is then up to that City department as to when they are going to fix the issue.
Any possible safety issue must reported by phone because you do not know when the proper city department will see a post.. The Mayor"s Office must be aware of Town Greens policy before there is fatality.
Reporting issues on SeeClickFix is not Town Green District's policy, it is the City and Traffic and Parking's policy. We are merely following their orders on how they want information disseminated. You are more than welcome to contact the mayors office if you are not satisfied with current City policies.
I know it is not your fault but this policy has to changed. As you can see the city has not responded to your post because they had the day off because it is Columbus Day. Someone can get electronic before the city reads your post.
We are trying to delineate issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve and as a result a number of historical issues are being closed. If your issue remains and needs to be addressed by the city, please open as a new See Click Fix issue with updated information and details. Thank you.
