Description

You can barely travel down Ivy street anymore, it's completely full of potholes. It's a private way, but for some reason, the city sends people down Ivy Street to get to Minerva Street, another private road. Instead, the city could send people down Sprague Lane, which is a public road, but instead they have a Dead End sign on Sprague Lane. It's not a dead end! The 5 residents that live on Ivy Street consistently get screwed by this. The city does not care and even though they plow, they won't fix our potholes!

This street has gotten considerably worse in the past 11 months. It's actually collapsing in a few different areas. Some pot holes are 5 feet wide and almost a foot deep. Soon, we're not going to be able to get emergency vehicles down this street. The city's response to my repeated complaints over the past 11 yerars is only "we don't take care of private roads." meanwhile, they plow it, they allow my neighboring street to have a "dead end' sign on it even though it is not a dead end (coincidentally, my neigbor that hung the illegal "dead end' sign on his road supplies all the street signs for the city of worcester. you think they're going to make him remove his illegal sign? yeah right!) The city claims they do regular safety repairs on private roads in this bad of a state iof disrepair.They do not.. I'm just glad that I'll have all this documented so when an emergency vehicle can no longer get down Ivy Street, we'll know exactly where the blame lies.
