Yea! I'm glad someone else noticed, too. I also reported this to the Parks Dept and Public Works over a month ago. Obviously nothing has been done about it. From a different vantage point around the corner on ET Grasso Blvd, looking at the back of this house, it is clear that the residents are also throwing their trash over their back fence onto park land. I really wish someone would do something about this - it is so brazen! There is a clear violation here and an obvious culprit. Won't someone take a stand?
Same corner area across from Irving St on the Blvd. some ones been using as their personal Dump years , and homeless encampment is looking like the city garbage transfer station. Not much changes in this city.
What I don't understand is why Parks Dept. doesn't DO anything about it? Clean it up, address it with the police dept (since it is illegal dumping), punt it to P&Z and/or Wetlands IF it is a wetlands issue... ANYTHING! If I had a nickel for every time I reported this very issue in this very spot (including the area at Blvd and Irving).... it is so irritating! I agree, same old brain-dead gov agency, but WHY? Why is it this bad????

LCI has contacted the owners of the two properties the dumping is located behind and are working with Parks on a solution. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and for reporting this issue.
This continues to be a dumping site. Parks plans to get down there again soon to pull up dumps. Would a fence help? Can the neighbors help prevent dumpers?
If trash (and graffiti, by the way) is not removed promptly, areas become "dumping sites". If it seems like someone cares about the area, even if that person is a park employee or a government or charitable entity, then it is less likely that the dumping will continue. Unfortunately, even though there have been numerous complaints about this corner in general, so little is done to remedy the problem that it becomes like blowing against the wind.
In the meantime, every agency that can do something about it stands around shrugging their shoulders.
