Description
On September 15 I notified Sgt Roy Davis about a White 150 pick up truck with the license plate number 1873 CU illegally dumping mattresses and furniture near the dumpster at 300 Eastern St. No officers came by to take a report. On September 16 I notified Sgt Cruz about the incident. He called the dispatcher and told me an officer would come by as soon as a car was available and would call me to let me know they would be coming here. It is now September 28. I'm still waiting. I contacted Sgt Cruz again and he was upset that no one responded the first two times. He contacted the dispatcher. An officer is supposed to be coming. I'm waiting. If this stuff was illegally dumped near Yale or the Mayor's office I'll bet the police would have responded immediately. There is a major illegal dumping problem in Wards 11, 12 and 13...apparently the forgotten part of the city.

Also, please consider that illegal dumping called in to the Police
Department is categorized as a low priority call. It would be better to call The Department of Public Works or us at LCI to have someone speak with you, so that we may coordinate with the Police Department to resolve it if necessary.
