Street and Sidewalk Supervisor assigned this issue to City Engineer

Should have said "1/2 painted crosswalk"! When Coggeshall school closed and street repairs were done the crosswalk was left "undone". However it is needed for pedestrian traffic to and from the highly used Coggeshall school playground. In addition cars park where the crosswalk should be causing blind spots for children crossing the street and entering the park gate.

Staff will contact the responsible contractor to have them repaint the crosswalk. NPD has been informed about the parked vehicle.

This crosswalk should have been removed when the school was closed. Furthermore, the crosswalk does not meet ADA accessibility requirements because there is no handicap ramp at this location. Thus, the remaining 1/2 crosswalk will be scheduled for removal.
