Description
The Citi Bike stand in front of Key Food on Jersey Ave between 3rd and 4th is ridiculous. Everywhere else you placed them in the street or against the curb, which was acceptable and safe. The stand in front of the Key Food takes up half the sidewalk. Why not place them in the street like other stands? Or if that wasn't acceptable, at least place them closer to the curb between the trees. The stand may be smaller but safer. I have tripped on them when it's dark. And I am aware of them!! I have seen people stumble over them also at other times. Clearly this is a hazard. I do not know who is liable for the risk and potential injury, but I am writing this on a public forum. So if this is not address, I would imagine your liability has just been raised with this public notice if you choose to ignore the request.

This seems like a reasonable question. Can the City please at least provide some insight?

EXACTLY!!!
That was the smart thing to do from the beginning.
Also you don't need as many if you choose to reduce the number a little

I looked. As configured, the tree pits are too close together to fit the entire contiguous installation.
However, the current setup is clearly not optimal either since it takes up over half the sidewalk. It seems like this could have been better engineered to begin with and probably should be reconfigured somehow.
