City Director of Transportation ignoring traffic laws. At 12:13 pm, Fri Sep 16, Director of Transportation Doug Hausladen was on the corner Church and Chapel taking cellphone pictures, he crossed with the pedestrian walk sign diagonally across Chapel to the corner of the Green. He then walked up a ways, and instead of using the mid Church Street cross walk 10 ft away, chose to walk across the three lanes of Church Street while traffic was legally turning from Chapel, causing several cars to have to slow down while he sauntered across still looking at his cell phone. Hard to encourage responsible following of traffic laws, crosswalks, walk signals by city residents when even the Director of Transportation ignores them!
