Thank you! It really is vital to the cleanliness of the area that the city sweeps once a month. Fair Haven Middle School's backyard is in this zone, and so is Quinnipiac River Park. My block ends at the Quinnipiac River Park, and has lots of pedestrian traffic. This past weekend, someone smashed several bottles in the street, so there is lots of broken glass everywhere. We really need to be swept at least once a month! It is so extremely frustrating that we have been swept only twice in the six months since sweeping started, and only one of those times had signs warning us. When the sweeping trucks came by the time that no signs had been posted, they went around the parked cars, which of course meant that any debris between the cars and the curb was not swept up. So anywhere there was a parked car on the second day that they swept has not been swept since April, when signs were put up! And believe me, there are lots of parked cars on this street! This is really unacceptable, don't you agree?

Thanks for all of your feedback during the 2016 Street Sweeping Season which operated from April-November. Since the weather so far has been somewhat mild, we have been able to sweep extra along arterial locations. Our seasonal focus now shifts to snow so we are closing this category.
