The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request #682151. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

This street is in desperate need of repair. One of the worst strips in all of Oakland. Massive chunks of asphalt fly into the air as cars roll over the potholes. One hit my windshield and cracked it. I've seen bikers eat it because the road damage is so bad. When my Uber drivers come down the road they almost always comment on how bad it is, "whoaaa!" "Holy crap!' "omg!". On the plus side, no one can drive through faster than a crawl... Kids can safely play in street ...
I contacted our rep about this stretch and his reply was basically, " you can report it on see click fix and gosh, aren't Oakland's streets terrible!?"
Maybe if he hears it from other than me, we could get some help.
I've also see people filling potholes with cement close by. They don't like us to do that bc in the long run it costs more to fix it, but these roads are getting impassable.
