Description

The pedestrian crossing signal at the intersection of 1st St SE and Independence Ave SE (that one would use to cross 1st St) is not functioning properly. The signals on opposite sides of the street are not in sync. When the eastern-most one says it's safe to cross, the western-most one says don't cross, and when the eastern-most one says not to cross, the western-most one is blank. This is confusing and a safety issue at a well-used intersection.
