Description

It's difficult for children to cross during school hours and especially outside of school hours. They have to walk out of their way to cross the street with a guard during the school hours and would find it nearly impossible to cross when the guards aren't there. We've already seen calamitous accidents involving youth in the community along College and Howard. It would be great to have more support for pedestrian crossing either with more traffic signals, a bridge, a tunnel... anything that would encourage pedestrian and bicycle traffic across the tracks. Even driving at this juncture feels awkward and confused. Thank you for your consideration.
