Description
Right at the intersection of 503 and 84/285 -- the entrance to the NM Scenic Byway the High Road to Taos -- the Highway has made the corner into storage dump for gigantic concrete objects.
They started this several years ago when there was construction here. But the construction moved north long ago and the Highway people continue to uglify that which they are supposed to preserve and enhance.

Yes, this is still a problem -- now the NM transportation department has added a piece of heavy equipment to the piles of concrete barriers.
Tour buses continue to drive past -- the eyesore must create a wonderful impression of New Mexico.
You can imagine the tourists saying -- "Look how quaint. New Mexicans think concrete barriers are scenic."

Thank you for asking, but this is still a problem, please keep it open.
I saw a busloads of Californians driving by today. They got to see the scenic beauty of our stacked concrete barriers. Probably a thrill after Yosemite.
Think of all the buses that go by each day.
