Description

Please. I'm begging at this point. I can't take County Waste showing up this often this early.

I feel like I haven't been clear before. I am not complaining about curbside pickups. Instead they are backing into my driveway and then emptying my neighbors commercial dumpsters. The truck is literally so close to my bed that I can touch it from my window.

Please help me get a nights sleep. I've tried talking to them and they just don't care. This is unlivable and I am at my wits end.

I think you are actually talking about the waste truck that picks up for the Ronald McDonald House, not the city of Albany collectors. I'm a neighbor too.

You're right, it isn't the city's truck. County Waste is the name of the company. They are a conglomerate who told me they would, "look into the issue" when I called them.

Ronald McDonald House could also be a better neighbor by contacting County Waste and telling them to knock off the 3 am pick-up times. They have some responsibility living in a mostly residential neighborhood with this kind of commercial set-up. They have grown far larger than at first. When do the city leaders say, "Enough is Enough." This is not just a case of NIMBY but being good neighbors.

Its my understanding that they did contact them in regards to this. County Waste seems to care as little for what they say as what I do.

RMHC really needs to be held accountable. If their vendor can't change the pick up time to a reasonable hour to accommodate the neighborhood then perhaps they need to change vendors. They have a responsibility to the residents here. Perhaps someone needs to speak with the staff of board.

My understanding is that after speaking with County Waste Management that they would be altering the p.u times for this area. There may have been a lag. Did this occur again within the last 6 days? Please advise.

We have spoken with the management of Ronald McDonald House, who in turn have also contacted WM and they have indicated the pick up times will be altered. I hope this brings resolution to this issue.

This is still occurring. On 5/24, I posted about it at 3:30am. Today, it is at 5:30am. In fact, this post is from a year ago and this never stopped since then. They also back up down the entire block on Myrtle avenue and often go through the red light. They have no regard or respect for APD.

I'll say that they've been coming at 5:30 to my place lately, which is better. After fighting with them for the entire year we have decided to move. I still think they are in blatant violation of noise ordinances and have been disappointed every time I deal with the company.
