This area was part of the bayou ravine system that runs through the subdivision. The water still goes there. The builder of the three large houses in the 500 block of Cordell did not install any form of drainage for the street: not swales, ditches, gutters, or any tie-in to the drainage system either side of this problem area. That is why this stretch of Cordell holds water.
