Description

The Peace Pole which had been standing at the NW corner of Hunt Park near the corner of Spring and Sunset streets has fallen down. As things are now the pole has screws or nails sticking out of its base and represents a trip and fall hazard. Can the pole be repaired / replanted?

The fallen Peace Pole has been removed. Thanks. There is still a hole in the ground where the pole was and this remains a trip and fall hazard. Can the Peace Pole be reinstalled or if that isn't possible, can the hole be filled in?

As of 4:45 pm this afternoon the hole left by the Peace Pole hadn't been filled in. It is a fairly small hole which means that it probably isn't as dangerous as a larger hole would be. On the other hand a small hole is harder to see and more likely to catch a runner or walker by surprise, particularly when the grass around the hole is long as it sometimes is.
