Cracked public sidewalks and curbs are inspected on an annual and ongoing basis by the Transportation department. In connection with annual operating budgets and following a needs and assessment inspection, only locations which are found to be in desperate need of repair are repaired. The Transportation dept. will assess this location and follow up with the necessary action accordingly.

I certainly hope this issue is resolved in a timely manner as taxpayers expect. Calgary 311 much more cordial and responsive addressing sidewalk issues due to safety, risk and liability. Walkers and wheelchairs can be rendered unstable in such situations where patching is perceived as uniform is actually worse being lopsided.
