Description
There has been ongoing issues / posts on people flying though the Fenwick St stop sign by Simpson Park entering Central. I happened to have seen a stop sign on Route 27 today that I think could possibly help draw attention to the stop. This sign had flashing red lights all around the stop and was something that would definitely draw more attention to the stop that's being ignored.

The Town of Framingham, to the best of its ability, follows the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) when installing signage, traffic signals, roadway striping, etc., throughout Town. This is a document issued by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) of the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) to specify the standards by which traffic signs, road surface markings, and signals are designed, installed, and used.
Under the topic of STOP Sign or YIELD Sign Placement it states that no items other then inventory stickers, sign installation dates, and bar codes shall be affixed to the fronts of STOP or YIELD signs, and the placement of these items shall be in the border or the sign.
The installation of flashing red lights all around the stop sign would be inappropriate and thus should not be installed.
