agree with the issue. I have also faced the same problem. Also after some new buildings (such as Cast Iron Lofts )were built there are lots of cars parked but there are no proper parking signs.

Still awaiting information on this problem. It is entirely unacceptable.

I also posted in a separate complaint about the lack of sidewalks along Coles street in this are and under the bridge after 14th street. There are many families that walk this way to and from the Hamilton park neighborhood and it becomes very dangerous for them to walk without sidewalks, we expect it will only become more dangerous as the winter weather approaches. The Soho West area is being developed quickly and sidewalks should be put in asap for the pedestrians in the area.

Yes this is very important. It's a matter of safety!! This area is developing so quickly that it needs a great deal of attention by the city to plan a nice pass through. The entire area between Hoboken and Jersey City (the Holland Tunnel area) needs to be built up and secure. The builders should be forced to develop it as they build. Nice WELL LIT areas!! I think we need to contact the Neighborhood Associations and get together as a group to make sure this is done right. Can someone pass this over to the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association for their advice and guidance?? Let's work together. Also there are homeless people under there who need to be moved to a safer area.

Yes they were helpful and actually have the redevelopment plans on their webiste, the plans do include items that make this aread safer with lighting, paved, sidewalks, and greenery to make it look nicer.
She mentioned that the plan is set to go before the planning board for approval on December 6th.

Our apologies for the delayed response. Our department is proposing an ordinance for the Council's consideration to restrict parking in this area to improve pedestrian mobility.
