Thank you for reporting this issue. A Code/Parking Officer for this area will investigate. The Officer has to observe the violation in order to address it. Please note, however, that parking in front of mailboxes and trash containers is not prohibited. If vehicles are legally parked, there is no violation. If general parking issues happen after 5:00pm on weekdays or any time on weekends, please call the CSPD non-emergency number at 979.764.3600 and an officer will be dispatched to investigate the issue. Is there anything we can do to prevent cars from parking in front of our mailbox? This issue has been happening all week, with a different car each day.I feel that there has to be a better way to handle traffic on Hardwood.

The Code Officer found one vehicle parked illegally and wrote a citation. Code / Parking Enforcement will continue to monitor.

Parking Enforcement and CSPD also wrote citations for vehicles parked illegally and will continue to monitor the area.

There is no City ordinance prohibiting parking in front of a mailbox. Mailboxes fall under the jurisdiction of the Postmaster.
